Can I create an all seasons portfolio by investing in different sectoral/thematic mutual funds belonging to sectors like, consumer, pharma, auto, banking, IT, infra, energy, etc. I know that multi caps can do this with a lesser expense ratio. Will this strategy benefit me?

My investment horizon is 15-20 years. I am 26, and my risk profile is aggressive. Currently I am investing Rs 20,000 per month via SIP.

Getting timing of both- entry and exit is important in sectoral funds. And as retail investors with other full time jobs, it becomes difficult to do that. So, I would recommend you stick to diversified equity funds.
