HDFC Mutual Fund increased its holdings in nearly 422 stocks in July, whereas it reduced the stake in 164 stocks in the same period, according to the monthly data released by Prime Database.

Among the 422 stocks where the fund house increased its holdings are some names such as Adani Enterprises, Adani Green Energy, Biocon, BSE, Ather Energy, Petronet LNG, L&T, ICICI Prudential AMC, HAL, HUL, TCS, ITC, Asian Paints, Vodafone Idea, Nippon Life India AMC, Eicher Motors, Colgate-Palmolive (India), Adani Power, and Billionbrains Garage Ventures (Groww).

The 164 stocks where the fund house reduced its stake include some names such as Reliance Industries, Infosys, Maruti Suzuki India, Eternal, ICICI Bank, Kalyan Jewellers, HDFC Bank, Jio Financial Services, Wipro, Paytm, Lenskart Solutions, Siemens Energy India, BHEL, Adani Energy Solutions, Waaree Energies, Nestle India, IRFC, HDFC AMC, and TVS Holdings.

There were five new entrants in the portfolio of the fund house. It added 1.32 crore shares of Diamond Power Infrastructure, 1.30 crore shares of SBI Funds Management, 16.45 lakh shares of INDO-MIM, 12 lakh shares of CMS Infos Systems and 9.34 lakh shares of Laser Power & Infra.

J.B. Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals and Nilkamal were the two stocks from which the fund house made a complete exit in July. Around 1.29 lakh shares of J.B. Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals and 60,064 shares of Nilkamal were sold out from the portfolio.

There were 13 unique stocks in the portfolio of HDFC Mutual Fund. This includes Ramco Systems, AG Ventures, Delta Corporation, OCCL, Diffusion Engineers, BEML Land Assets, Ikio Technologies, GHCL Textiles, AGS Transact Technologies, and Popular Vehicles & Services.

The fund house had nearly 703 stocks in its portfolio as of July 31, 2026 with highest allocation in ICICI Bank of around 5.95% followed by 4.94% in HDFC Bank and 3.10% in Axis Bank.

In the industry-wise holdings, the fund house had the highest allocation in financial services of around 32.15%, followed by 18.56% in consumer discretionary, 10.86% in healthcare, 9.31% in industrials. In the other eight industries, the holding ranged between 0.01% to 5.85% in July.

As of July 31, 2025, the fund house had an AUM of Rs 9.88 lakh crore and is the third largest fund house based on assets managed. The fund house manages 138 funds, which include 59 equity funds, six hybrid funds, 60 debt funds, four commodity-based funds, and nine other schemes, which include passive funds.
