I have a moderate to aggressive risk appetite. I want to invest Rs 50,000 in mutual funds via SIP. I am 40 years old and have a long term investment horizon (three to five years). Please suggest which mutual funds should I invest. I also want to create an equity portfolio of Rs 10 lakh. Please advise.

We would like to reiterate, that wealth creation happens best when we have a longer investment horizon. We always advice a minimum ten year period for SIPs in equity for the most effective returns and alpha creation. So, if you want to create wealth and make high returns, you need to stick to your equity investments for at least 7-10 years. Assuming a 10 year period, would recommend the following funds for monthly SIPs:

Kotak Standard Multicap Fund: Rs 10,000

SBI Small Cap Fund: Rs 10,000
Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip Fund: Rs 20,000
HDFC Mid-Cap Opportunities Fund: Rs 10,000
