Can you suggest funds for me? I am a beginner. I haven't invested in any mutual funds yet. I have a few bank fixed deposits since I have just started earning from one year. Any advice where should I invest to begin with?

It is not clear whether you are planning a short-term or long-term investment. If you are planning to invest for a short period, you can consider investing in a debt mutual funds. You should pick a debt mutual fund that matches your investment horizon.

If you are planning to invest with long-term goal in mind, you can consider investing in an equity-oriented hybrid scheme (or balanced scheme). Equity-oriented balanced schemes invest the corpus in a mix of equity (minimum 65 per cent) and debt. This portfolio composition makes them less volatile than pure equity schemes that invest the entire corpus in stocks. That is why experts recommend these schemes to novices in the stock market.
