I am 28 years old. I am investing in the following mutual fund schemes via SIPs since the past one year.
ICICI Prudential Value Discovery Fund: Rs 2,000
ICICI Prudential Dynamic Plan: Rs, 1,500
Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip Fund: Rs 1,000
Franklin India Smaller Companies Fund: Rs 1,000
I want to invest Rs 10,000 in more via SIPs. Could you please suggest some good funds? Also, am I investing in the right funds? My investment horizon is 10 years.

Puneet Oberoi, Managing Director, Excellent Investment Advisorz, responds:

Your earlier investments are perfectly fine but too much diversification won’t help as stock holding of these funds may overlap. Otherwise, these funds are good, you can definitely continue investing in them.

For your new investment, I will suggest two funds. You can invest Rs 5,000 each in:

  • L&T Mid Cap Fund (growth)
  • Franklin India Smaller Companies Fund
  • Kotak Select Focus Fund (growth)
