I am 24 years old. I want to invest Rs 8,000 every month for two to three years. Suggest some good returning funds.

Manish Saluja, founder, Prime Wealth Advisors, responds:

For an investment horizon of two to three years, I would recommend a portfolio of (Monthly Income Plan) MIP and balanced fund with a 3:1 ratio. That is, 75 per cent in an MIP and 25 per cent in a balanced fund. You may look for funds like ICICI Prudential Balanced Fund and Birla Sun Life MIP II Wealth 25 Plan or Kotak Monthly Income Plan.
