I want to invest Rs 1,000 per month via SIP in small and midcap mutual funds. Can you please suggest me a scheme?

Abhishek Gupta, Certified Financial Planner, Moat Wealth Advisors, responds:

It seems that you are a beginner in mutual funds. I would recommend a multicap or a balanced fund to start your investment journey. You can look at L&T India Value Fund and Birla Sun Life Balanced 95 Fund. Please set a goal for which you are starting this SIP. This will help you to create a corpus for that goal and also make you more disciplined.

Consider a term plan and health insurance plan for your family.
