I need Rs 10 lakh in March 2019. How much should I invest per month and where? I am willing to take some risk.
--Nav Een

You hardly have two years to achieve your goal. That means you shouldn’t take any risk with your investments. You should stick to safe options like bank deposits and short-term debt mutual funds. When you have a short investment horizon, it is not wise to expose the money to any risk. You would not be able to make up for any losses with such a short investment horizon.

You must save and invest a little over Rs 39,000 every month in a safe avenue. If it offers you 6 per cent returns per annum, you would be able to achieve your target corpus of Rs 10 lakh.
