I am 35 years old. I have already invested Rs 11,000 per month in mutual funds via SIPs.

Motilal Oswal Multicap 35 Fund (Direct): Rs 3,000
HDFC Balanced Fund (Direct): Rs 3,000
IDFC Focused Equity Fund (Direct): Rs 5,000

Are these schemes right for my portfolio? Please let me know if I need to make any changes. I am taking aggressive to moderate risk. I want to add Rs 5,000 more per month to my investment. Please suggest some schemes.

Chokkalingam Palaniappan, Director, Prakala Wealth Management, responds:

All the three mutual fund schemes that you are investing in are decent and you can continue with them. If you can invest for a long term, you may consider adding a midcap or smallcap fund to your portfolio. Invest the additional Rs 5,000 in Axis Midcap Fund.
