I am 38 years old. I am investing in mutual funds via SIP. My investments are as below:

SBI Bluechip Fund Rs 5,000
Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip Fund Rs 5,000
Kotak Emerging Equity Fund Rs 10,000
SBI Small Cap Fund Rs 10,000
Tata Equity P/E Fund Rs 5,000

My objective is to create a corpus of Rs 4 crore in 15 years. Can I achieve my goal with my current investments? Kindly comment on my portfolio. My risk profile is aggressive.

Rishab Parakh, Founder, Money Plant Consultancy, responds:

Your current mix of funds is good to suit your aggressive risk profile, the challenge is the amount you are investing against the target of achieving Rs 4 crore in 15 years. To generate Rs 4 crore in 15 years assuming a return of 15 per cent, your monthly investment needs to be Rs 60,000 so either you need to increase your monthly sip amount from Rs 35,000 to Rs 60,000 or you can increase monthly SIP by 10 per cent every year which will give you approx. Rs 3.90 crore assuming 15 per cent returns per annum.
