I am new to mutual funds. I am investing through a mutual fund app without any expert help. I have a moderate-to-high risk appetite and want to invest for at least 15 years with highest possible return. Below are the funds I am investing right now. Please review my portfolio and let me know if I am investing wrong and corrections needed.
Axis Bluchip Fund (Direct, Growth): Rs 1,000
Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip Fund (Direct, Growth): Rs 1,000
L&T Midcap Fund (Direct, Growth): Rs 1,000
SBI Small Cap Fund: (Direct, Growth): Rs 1,000
HDFC Small Cap Fund (Direct, Growth) Rs 1,000
Please review my portfolio. Thanks in advance.

Gaurav Monga, Director, PxG Consultancy, responds:

Firstly, the schemes in your portfolio are good. You should always keep in mind that equity markets tend to be volatile. As a long-term investor you should embrace volatility and use it to your benefit by investing more whenever there is a correction in the market. Your monthly allocation towards mid and small cap segment is on the higher side. Currently, it may not seem much, but as the size of your portfolio increases, it would be felt more. Therefore, you need to keep track of this factor and invest more towards the multi cap category.
