Rishabh Parakh, founder, Money Plant Consultancy, responds:

Your total investments is not Rs 22,000 but Rs 19,500. You haven’t mentioned your or your kids’ age, and when you want to retire. So, I am making a few suggestions based on lots of assumptions.

You can reduce the number of mutual fund schemes in your portfolio to five or six. Your existing portfolio is a mix of largecap, midcap, smallcap, and multicap funds. So, you have invested in all the main categories.

Since you are an aggressive investor, you can change Franklin India Prima Plus (now called Franklin India Equity Fund) to Franklin India Focused Equity Fund, L&T India Value Fund to L&T Midcap Fund and SBI Bluechip Fund to SBI Magnum Multicap Fund. This will make your portfolio an aggressive one, which will work in the long run.
