50 equity mutual funds offer over 15% in 10 years

Around 50 schemes have offered more than 15% in a 10-year horizon, an analysis of daily rolling returns showed. ETMutualFunds considered daily rolling returns of 143 equity schemes that have completed 10 years of existence in the market.

Nippon India Small Cap Fund, the topper in the list, gave 23.79% in a 10-year period. It is the largest scheme in the small cap category based on assets managed. Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip, the largest scheme in the large & mid cap category based on assets managed, gave 22.44%. SBI Small Cap Fund gave 22.33% during the same time period.












DSP Small Cap Fund, Axis Midcap Fund, and Canara Robeco Emerging Equities Fund gave around 19%. Parag Parikh Flexi Cap Fund, the largest scheme in the flexi cap category based on assets managed, gave 18.94%. The scheme manages assets of Rs 44,037.86 crore.

HDFC Mid-Cap Opportunities Fund, the largest scheme in the mid cap category based on assets managed, offered around 18.49%. Edelweiss Mid Cap Fund gave 18.23% in 10-year horizon.

Around seven schemes gave 17% and 11 schemes gave 16% in the 10-year horizon. Around 23 equity schemes offered approximately 15% during the same time period.

These 50 equity mutual fund schemes were from different categories. These schemes were from mid cap, small cap, ELSS, flexi cap, value fund, focused fund, large & mid cap, large cap, multi cap, and contra fund categories. Around 15 mid cap schemes offered more than 15% in the 10-year horizon. Seven small cap, six ELSS, five flexi cap and value fund, four focused funds, three large & mid cap, two large cap and multi cap, and one contra fund offered over 15% in 10 years.

We considered equity categories such as large cap, mid cap, large & mid cap, small cap, ELSS, multi cap, focused funds, flexi cap, value & contra fund categories. We considered regular and growth options.
