Around 20 equity mutual funds have lost in the double-digits in the current financial year so far, an analysis of the performance showed. Out of 488 equity mutual funds in the mentioned period, around 169 funds delivered negative returns.

The top two losers were from Samco Mutual Fund, with the Samco Flexi Cap Fund and Samco ELSS Tax Saver Fund experiencing losses of 22.07% and 15.76%, respectively.

Quant Infrastructure Fund lost 14.45%, followed by Motilal Oswal Focused Fund which lost 14.17% in the same period. Tata Infrastructure Fund delivered a negative return of 12.97% in the financial year ending on March 31, 2025.

Four funds from Quant Mutual Fund - Quant Active Fund, Quant Quantamental Fund, Quant Consumption Fund, and Quant ELSS Tax Saver Fund - lost 12.26%, 11.67%, 11.56%, and 11.52% respectively in the mentioned period.

Aditya Birla SL PSU Equity Fund gave a negative return of 11.26% in the mentioned period, followed by SBI Energy Opportunities Fund which lost 10.91% in the same period.

Quant BFSI Fund, Quant Focused Fund, Quant Value Fund and Quant Mid Cap Fund gave a negative return of 10.62%, 10.36%, 10.34% and 10% in FY25 so far.

Shriram ELSS Tax Saver Fund gave a negative return of 9.72% in the mentioned period. Axis Quant Fund and UTI Innovation Fund lost around 9.57% each in the current financial year so far.

Four schemes from Quant Mutual Fund lost between 8.49% to 9.18% in the mentioned period. Quant Small Cap Fund lost 6.89% each in the same period. HDFC Small Cap Fund gave a negative return of around 5.62% in the current financial year so far.

SBI PSU Fund delivered a negative return of 3.90% in FY25 followed by Franklin India Smaller Cos Fund which lost 3.89% in the same period. SBI Small Cap Fund lost 1.14% in this financial year so far.

Kotak Manufacture in India Fund and Tata Large & Mid Cap Fund lost the lowest of around 0.01% in FY25 so far.
