18 equity mutual fund schemes offer over 30% in three years

Around 18 equity schemes have offered more than 30% in three years, an analysis by ETMutualFunds showed. ETMutualFunds analysed the daily rolling returns of 302 equity schemes that have completed three years.

Two schemes offered more than 40% in three years. ICICI Prudential Commodities Fund offered the highest return of around 42.86% in the three year horizon. Quant Small Cap Fund gave 40.52%.

Canara Robeco Small Cap Fund and Bank of India Small Cap Fund offered more than 35% in a three year horizon. The schemes offered 36.98% and 36.87% respectively. Three schemes offered around 34%. (See table for details)


Quant Tax Plan, the only ELSS scheme in the category, gave 33.06% in a three-year period. ICICI Prudential Technology Fund, Tata Small Cap Fund, and Bandhan Small Cap Fund gave 32.77%, 32.73%, and 32.04% respectively.


These 18 schemes were from the thematic and sectoral, small cap, ELSS, mid cap, multi cap, flexi cap fund categories.

We considered daily rolling returns for equity mutual fund schemes. The daily rolling return for three years was calculated between December 2020 to December 2023.

We considered equity categories such as large cap, mid cap, large & mid cap, small cap, ELSS, multi cap, focused funds, flexi cap, value & contra fund, sectoral and thematic fund categories. We considered regular and growth options.
