These equity funds turned Rs 10,000 monthly SIPs into crores.
The analysis further showed that out of these 305 equity mutual funds, 110 turned Rs 10,000 monthly SIP into over Rs 1 crore since their respective inception date, up to Rs 29.32 crore as of date.
Nippon India Growth Mid Cap Fund (Earlier known as Nippon India Growth Fund), launched in October 1995, turned the Rs 10,000 monthly SIP into Rs 29.32 crore with an XIRR of 22.22% since its inception.

Franklin India Mid Cap Fund (Earlier known as Franklin India Prima Fund) turned the same monthly SIP amount into Rs 24.04 crore with an XIRR of 19.73% since its inception in December 1993.
Two funds from HDFC Mutual Fund - HDFC Flexi Cap Fund (Earlier known as HDFC Equity Fund) and HDFC ELSS Tax Saver (Earlier known as HDFC TaxSaver Fund) - turned the SIP investment into Rs 22.76 crore and Rs 21.26 crore, respectively, since their respective inceptions. The funds were launched in March 1996 and January 1995, respectively.
This flexicap fund and ELSS fund by HDFC Mutual Fund delivered an XIRR of 20.37% and 21.16%, respectively, since their inception, and HDFC Flexi Cap Fund is the second largest flexicap fund based on assets managed.
Franklin India Flexi Cap Fund (Earlier known as Franklin India Equity Fund) turned Rs 10,000 SIP into Rs 16.88 crore with an XIRR of 18.81% since its inception in September 1994.
SBI ELSS Tax Saver Fund (Erstwhile known as SBI Long Term Equity Fund) turned the same SIP into Rs 14.99 crore with an XIRR of 17.31% since March 1993. This ELSS fund is the oldest ELSS fund.
Franklin India Large Cap Fund (Earlier known as Franklin India Bluechip Fund) turned the same SIP into Rs 13.82 crore with an XIRR of 17.29% since December 1993.
HDFC Value Fund, a value fund, launched in February 1994, turned the SIP amount into Rs 12.08 crore with an XIRR of 17.29%. The fund was earlier known as HDFC Capital Builder Value Fund.
Nippon India Vision Large & Mid Cap Fund (Earlier known as Nippon India Vision Fund), a large and midcap fund, turned the SIP amount into Rs 11.70 crore with an XIRR of 17.90% since October 1995.
ICICI Prudential Multicap Fund (Erstwhile known as ICICI Prudential Top 200 Fund) turned investors’ SIP investment of Rs 10,000 into Rs 11.65 crore with an XIRR of 17.13%. The fund was launched in October 1994.
Tata Mid Cap Fund was the last fund to turn a SIP amount into a crore. The fund was launched in July 1994 and turned Rs 10,000 SIP into Rs 11.07 crore with an XIRR of 17.90% and was earlier known as Tata Mid Cap Growth Fund.

SBI Large & Midcap Fund (Earlier known as SBI Magnum Multiplier Fund) turned Rs 10,000 SIP into Rs 11.06 crore. Launched in February 1993, the fund has offered an XIRR of 15.93% since then.
The other 98 funds turned the same investment ranging from over Rs 1 crore to Rs 9.26 crore since their respective inception date. SBI Contra Fund, the oldest and largest contra fund, turned the Rs 10,000 monthly SIP into Rs 7.22 crore since its inception with an XIRR of 18.67%.
Quant Small Cap Fund turned the same SIP amount into Rs 4.96 crore with an XIRR of 14.48% since its inception. Quant Multi Cap Fund and Quant ELSS Tax Saver Fund turned Rs 10,000 SIP into Rs 4.09 crore and Rs 3.95 crore, respectively.
Kotak Small Cap Fund turned Rs 10,000 monthly SIP into Rs 2.05 crore with an XIRR of 16.60% since its inception. Invesco India Midcap Fund turned the Rs 10,000 monthly SIP into Rs 1.99 crore since its inception with an XIRR of 19.24%.
Edelweiss Mid Cap Fund turned the same monthly investment into Rs 1.80 crore with an XIRR of 19.45%. Nippon India Large Cap Fund and DSP Flexi Cap Fund turned the same SIP into Rs 1 crore each with an XIRR of 13.92% and 13.67% respectively.
We considered all equity funds excluding sectoral and thematic funds. We considered regular and growth options. We calculated the SIP performance of all funds since their respective inception date.
