Should I continue to SIP or switch to other schemes?
I have invested in following funds:
DSPBR Natural Resources & New Energy Fund - Growth
SBI Magnum Comma Fund - Growth
SBI Magnum PSU Fund
SBI Magnum Mid Cap fund.
My investments are in lumpsum as well as through SIPs (ongoing). For last few months, returns of these funds are not very good. Shall I remain invested in these schemes and continue SIPs or shall I switch to some other scheme. In case of switch, please advise which schemes to invest. My investment purpose is to create wealth over a period of seven to 10 years. Risk profile - high. Kindly advice. Thanks in advance.

Karthik Swaminathan, Certified Financial Planner, responds:

You should always review your investments even if you are investing with a long-term investment horizon of seven to 10 years. So, my suggestion for now is: -

Switch from SBI Magnum Mid Cap Fund as it has underperformed and worth a relook. As replacement, you can choose funds like Mirae Emerging Bluechip (G) & DSP-BR Micro Cap Fund (G) and Birla SL Small & Midcap (G) in Small & Midcap segment as replacement.

Rest of the funds are okay and no need to switch as its all for a long-term horizon.
