Gainers & Losers: TCS, Hero MotoCorp among top stocks in spotlight on Friday

​Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty declined on Friday witnessing their second successive fall amid selling pressure in IT and pharma stocks. The S&P BSE Sensex ended at 64,948.66, down 202.36 points or 0.31% while the broader Nifty50 settled at 19,310.15, lower by 55.10 points or 0.28%. Banking gauge Nifty Bank finished 40.30 points or 0.09% lower at 43,851.05.​Here are the stocks that saw action today:

Adani Stocks

All 10 stocks of the Adani Group companies ended in the green on Friday. Adani Green Energy, Adani Transmission, and Adani Power jumped up to 7% on news of Abu Dhabi National Energy Co. PJSC (TAQA) mulled a large exposure to the power businesses of Gautam Adani. Nifty Constituents Adani Enterprises and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone closed with 3% upside.

TCS

Shares of Tata Consultancy Services were among the top losers from the Nifty pack amid selling pressure in the entire IT sector. Today's fall comes on the back of technology stocks falling on Wall Street in Thursday's trade.

Yatharth Hospitals

Shares of Yatharth Hospital & Trauma Care Services jumped 12% intraday to finally settle at Rs 341 on the NSE on Friday, up over 9% from Thursday closing price. The gains were on the back of the company’s strong June quarter earnings.

Hero MotoCorp

Shares of Hero MotoCorp fell for the third straight session and ended at Rs 2,926, down by Rs 65.05 or 2.17%. The shares have been falling since the news of Sunil Kant Munjal stepping down as Joint Managing Director, surfaced.

concord biotech

Stock of this biopharma company was listed at a healthy premium of 21% at Rs 900 on the exchanges on Friday. The stock finally ended Rs 943.50, up by Rs 43.45 or 4.83% over the listing price.
