US Markets Today: US stocks rebound on tech recovery ahead of Nvidia earnings, inflation data
US stocks rose on Tuesday as technology shares rebounded ahead of Nvidia’s quarterly results and key US inflation data. The Nasdaq led gains, while chipmakers Intel, Micron and AMD advanced. Investors also tracked Treasury yields, Iran tensions an...

At 10:56 a.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 22.16 points, or 0.04%, to 53,439.32, the S&P 500 gained 11.36 points, or 0.15%, to 7,664.22 and the Nasdaq Composite gained 121.83 points, or 0.47%, to 26,102.02.

Tech Recovery
Chipmakers Intel and Micron added 3.1% and 3.9%, respectively. Data-storage company Western Digital rose 3.7%.
Dick’s Sporting Goods plunged 22.6% after the retailer cut its annual forecasts, citing challenging market conditions. Sportswear major Nike also fell 3.2%.

However, money market participants continue to price in one 25-basis-point rate increase by the end of the year, according to LSEG data.
Against this backdrop, Fed Chair Kevin Warsh’s Jackson Hole speech on Friday will be closely watched for signals on the central bank’s monetary policy path.
