Robert Kiyosaki warns of a global stock and bond market crash, citing AI speculation, war, debt and demographic pressures, and urges investors to prepare now
In a post on X, Kiyosaki said he had warned about such a scenario more than two decades ago in his 2002 book Rich Dad’s Prophecy. According to him, the book was written to prepare readers to “profit and not be victims” of what he called the biggest stock and bond market crash in history.
“BIGGEST CRASH IN HISTORY has started,” Kiyosaki wrote.
He claimed that the downturn had started in Europe and Japan in 2026 and was “spreading across the world”. He attributed the situation to several factors, including what he called the “AI frenzy”, the war in Iran, high levels of debt and the retirement of the Baby Boomer generation.
Kiyosaki also issued a warning to people holding retirement savings through accounts such as 401(k)s, IRAs, Superannuation and RRSPs.
“If you have a 401k or IRA or Superannuation, or a RRSP you may be in trouble, especially if you’re over 40 years old,” he wrote.
