Vedanta shares drop 0.9% as Sensex rises

Shares of the Vedanta Ltd. traded at Rs 268.9 on BSE at 12:43PM (IST) on Friday, down 0.9 per cent. The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 207.85 and a high of Rs 307.7.

Earlier in the day, the stock saw a gap up opening.

At the prevailing price, the stock traded at 21.04 times its trailing 12-month EPS of Rs 12.78 per share and 2.59 times its book value, as per BSE data.


A total of 263,720 shares changed hands on the counter till 12:43PM (IST). The stock commands a market value of Rs 99955.68 crore and is part of the Diversified industry.

The scrip has been an underperformer , down 11.22 per cent in the past one year in comparison with a 21.21 per cent gain in Sensex.

During the day, the stock moved between Rs 272.15 and Rs 268.2.

Promoters held 0.0 per cent in the company as of 31-Dec-2023. FII and MF ownership in Vedanta Ltd. stood at 7.74 per cent and 1.42 per cent, respectively.
