Varun Beverages shares decline 1.4% as Sensex slides

Shares of the Varun Beverages Ltd. traded at Rs 932.85 on BSE at 01:39PM (IST) on Tuesday, down 1.4 per cent from previous close.

The scrip quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 481.67 and a high of Rs 979.15.

Earlier, shares of the company saw a gap up opening in the morning.


A total of 85,462 lakh shares changed hands on the counter till 01:39PM (IST).

The stock of Varun Beverages Ltd. commands a market value of Rs 121170.46 crore.

The stock traded at a price-to-earning (P/E) multiple of 64.5, while the price-to-book value ratio stood at 16.84. Return on equity (ROE) was at 29.34 per cent, according to exchange data.

In the BSE500 pack, 271 stocks traded in the green, while 230 stocks were in the red.

Promoters held 63.62 per cent in the Varun Beverages Ltd. as of 30-Jun-2023 while foreign and domestic institutional investors owned 26.71 per cent and 3.16 per cent, respectively.
