Torrent Pharma shares drop 0.52% as Sensex falls

Shares of the Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd. traded at Rs 2978.95 on BSE at 10:25AM (IST) on Friday, down 0.52 per cent. The stock quoted a 52-week low price of Rs 2311.3 and a high of Rs 3248.0.

Earlier in the day, the stock saw a gap down opening.

At the prevailing price, the stock traded at 40.06 times its trailing 12-month EPS of Rs 74.87 per share and 7.37 times its book value, as per BSE data.


A total of 5,725 shares changed hands on the counter till 10:25AM (IST). The stock commands a market value of Rs 50749.89 crore and is part of the Pharma - Indian industry.

The scrip has been an underperformer , up 14.02 per cent in the past one year in comparison with a 30.68 per cent gain in Sensex.

During the day, the stock moved between Rs 3056.5 and Rs 2931.55.

Promoters held 71.25 per cent in the company as of 30-Sep-2021. FII and MF ownership in Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd. stood at 11.53 per cent and 6.71 per cent, respectively.
