BAJAJHIND(up 4.32%), Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals(up 4.11%), Dharani Sugars & Chemicals(up 3.96%), Dwarikesh Sugar Industries(up 3.34%), MAGADHSUGAR(up 3.12%), KCP Sugar & Industries(up 3.09%), Uttam Sugar Mills(up 2.74%), Balrampur Chini Mills(up 2.68%), K.M.Sugar Mills(up 2.62%) and Sakthi Sugars(up 2.46%) were among the top gainers.

NTPC(up 4.44%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 3.74%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 3.37%), IndusInd Bank(up 3.03%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 2.95%), UPL Ltd(up 2.89%), Bajaj Finance(up 2.88%), Indian Oil Corporation(up 2.69%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 2.66%) and Tata Motors(up 2.55%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Maruti Suzuki(down 1.38%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.54%) and Hindustan Unilever(down 0.03%) were trading in the red.
