Stock market update: Sugar stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Sugar stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 10:24AM

Triveni Engineering & Industries(up 4.03%), KCP Sugar & Industries(up 3.70%), Bannari Amman Sugars(up 3.68%), Mawana Sugars(up 3.65%), Shree Renuka Sugars(up 3.55%), Uttam Sugar Mills(up 3.43%), K.M.Sugar Mills(up 3.31%), Ugar Sugar Works(up 2.80%), Sakthi Sugars(up 2.50%) and Dwarikesh Sugar Industries(up 2.44%) were among the top gainers.

Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals(down 4.99%) and Simbhaoli Sugars(down 0.27%) were among the top losers.


The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 229.6 points up at 16843.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 789.31 points at 56611.32 at around 10:24AM.

HCL Technologies(up 4.09%), Tata Steel(up 3.38%), Wipro(up 3.16%), Hindalco Industries(up 3.05%), JSW Steel(up 3.0%), UPL Ltd(up 2.57%), Titan Company Ltd(up 2.48%), Coal India(up 2.35%), Grasim Industries(up 2.35%) and Shree Cement(up 2.32%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India(down 0.55%), Divis Laboratories(down 0.35%) and Cipla(down 0.21%) were trading in the red.
