NEW DELHI: Sugar shares closed higher in the Wednesday's session.
Dalmia Bharat Sugar and Industries Ltd.(up 8.26%), Magadh Sugar & Energy Ltd.(up 6.90%), Sakthi Sugars Ltd.(up 6.49%), Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Ltd.(up 5.36%), KCP Sugar & Industries Corporation Ltd.(up 4.95%), Simbhaoli Sugars Ltd.(up 4.88%), Dhampur Sugar Mills Ltd.(up 4.87%), KM Sugar Mills Ltd.(up 4.82%), Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd.(up 4.62%) and Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd.(up 4.48%) stood among the top gainers.

Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 5.18%), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 4.86%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 4.72%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 4.34%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 4.1%), NTPC Ltd.(up 3.97%), Bharat Electronics Ltd.(up 3.86%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 3.6%), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 3.49%) and Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 3.35%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 3.35%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.6%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 1.17%), Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 0.26%) and Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 0.13%) closed in the red.
