NEW DELHI: Sugar shares closed higher in the Friday's session.
Magadh Sugar & Energy Ltd.(up 14.12%), Dalmia Bharat Sugar and Industries Ltd.(up 8.20%), Avadh Sugar & Energy Ltd.(up 8.01%), Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd.(up 5.99%), Ugar Sugar Works Ltd.(up 4.09%), Ponni Sugars(Erode)Ltd.(up 3.87%), Mawana Sugars Ltd.(up 3.69%), Vishwaraj Sugar Industries Ltd.(up 3.36%), EID Parry(India)Ltd.(up 2.82%) and Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Ltd.(up 2.68%) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 2.22%), State Bank of India(down 1.05%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.31%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.27%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 0.11%) and LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 0.07%) closed in the red.
