Stock market update: Sugar stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Sugar stocks were trading lower on Monday at 11:05AM
Shree Renuka Sugars(up 1.12%), DCM Shriram Industries(up 0.71%), Bannari Amman Sugars(up 0.60%) and Balrampur Chini Mills(up 0.43%) were among the top gainers.
Dwarikesh Sugar Industries(down 5.36%), Kothari Sugars & Chemicals(down 3.28%), Triveni Engineering & Industries(down 2.68%), Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries(down 2.60%), BAJAJHIND(down 2.51%), Uttam Sugar Mills(down 2.24%), Dhampur Sugar Mills(down 1.78%), MAGADHSUGAR(down 1.49%), AVADHSUGAR(down 1.46%) and K.M.Sugar Mills(down 1.44%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 183.5 points down at 17574.95, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 610.78 points at 59035.37 at around 11:05AM.
ITC(up 1.27%), Britannia Industries(up 1.1%), Hindustan Unilever(up 0.62%), Nestle India(up 0.35%) and TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 0.15%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Divis Laboratories(down 3.2%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprises(down 3.1%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 2.59%), Asian Paints(down 2.43%), Hero MotoCorp(down 2.05%), JSW Steel(down 2.03%), Axis Bank(down 1.96%), Tata Steel(down 1.91%), UltraTech Cement(down 1.87%) and ICICI Bank(down 1.82%) were trading in the red.
