Stock market update: Sugar stocks down as market falls

NEW DELHI: Sugar stocks were trading lower on Friday at 11:10AM

Uttam Sugar Mills(up 0.47%), DCM Shriram Industries(up 0.45%) and Shree Renuka Sugars(up 0.33%) were among the top gainers.

Simbhaoli Sugars(down 4.73%), EID Parry(down 4.60%), Vishwaraj Sugar Industries(down 2.96%), MAGADHSUGAR(down 2.85%), Bannari Amman Sugars(down 2.50%), K.M.Sugar Mills(down 2.43%), Mawana Sugars(down 2.38%), Dhampur Sugar Mills(down 2.10%), AVADHSUGAR(down 2.00%) and Kothari Sugars & Chemicals(down 1.98%) were among the top losers.


The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 42.1 points down at 15318.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 1045.6 points at 51495.79 at around 11:10AM.

Tata Steel(up 2.31%), JSW Steel(up 2.1%), Coal India(up 2.0%), Bajaj Finserv(up 1.77%), Reliance Industries(up 1.57%), Grasim Industries(up 1.08%), ITC(up 1.05%), State Bank of India(up 0.95%), Bajaj Finance(up 0.93%) and ICICI Bank(up 0.52%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Titan Company Ltd(down 6.52%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 3.49%), Wipro(down 3.43%), Tata Consultancy(down 2.44%), Tech Mahindra(down 2.25%), Cipla(down 2.02%), Divis Laboratories(down 1.94%), Asian Paints(down 1.89%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 1.74%) and Shree Cement(down 1.74%) were trading in the red.
