Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE

NEW DELHI: Shares of Welspun India, Datamatics Glob, Rail Vikas Nigam, Aarti Pharmalabs Ltd. and Kirloskar Elec, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 10:40AM(IST)on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 95.75 points to 18160.75 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.

However, stocks such as Gallantt Metal, Lagnam Spintex, Coastal Corp(PP), Parin Furniture and Party Cruisers Ltd., touched their fresh 52-week low.


Overall, 38 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 12 traded in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Tech Mahindra, ONGC, Hindalco, UPL and JSW Steel were among top gainers, while Hero MotoCorp, Kotak Bank, UltraTech Cem., Adani Ports SEZ and Tata Motors traded in the red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 318.36 points up at 61430.8 at 10:40AM(IST).

Traders were seen piling up positions in Learning & Education, Telecommunications, Term Lending Institutions, Textiles and Construction sectors, while selling was visible in Media & Entertainment, Shipping, Beverages - Alcoholic, Industrial Consumables and Cement sectors.
