Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE

NEW DELHI: Shares of Srivasavi Adhesive Tapes Ltd., Vardhman Poly, Venus Pipes & Tubes Ltd., Neogen Chemicals and Aarti Surfactants(PP), hit their fresh 52-week highs at 10:09AM(IST)on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 34.25 points to 17756.55 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.

However, stocks such as Nirman Agri Genetics, Seya Industries and Vikas Multicorp, touched their fresh 52-week low.


Overall, 29 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 21 traded in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Divis Labs, Adani Ent., Dr. Reddys, Bajaj Auto and Grasim Inds. were among top gainers, while IndusInd Bank, ONGC, BPCL, Power Grid and Bharti Airtel traded in the red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 76.11 points up at 60233.83 at 10:09AM(IST).

Traders were seen piling up positions in Sugar, Telecommunications, Glass, Cement and Pharmaceuticals sectors, while selling was visible in Infrastructure, Plastics, Media & Entertainment, Metals - Ferrous and NBFC sectors.
