Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE

Ponni Sugars, Bank of India, Union Bank India, Ugar Sugar Work and Punjab Sind Bank, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 09:59AM.

NEW DELHI: Shares of Ponni Sugars, Bank of India, Union Bank India, Ugar Sugar Work and Punjab Sind Bank, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 09:59AM(IST)on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index fell 78.05 points to 18623.0 amid selling in frontline bluechip stocks.

However, stocks such as Amiable Logistic(India)Ltd., Aakash Exploration, AAA Technologies, Nakoda Group Of Ind and Nureca Ltd., touched their fresh 52-week low.


Overall, 13 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 37 traded in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Adani Ent., Bajaj Finance, Axis Bank, SBI Life and HUL were among top gainers, while HCL Tech, Tata Steel, Hindalco, Hero MotoCorp and ONGC traded in the red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 246.05 points down at 62588.55 at 09:59AM(IST).

Traders were seen piling up positions in Telecommunications, Sugar, Rubber, Airlines and Power sectors, while selling was visible in IT Enabled Services, Miscellaneous, Services, NBFC and Glass sectors.
