Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE

NEW DELHI: Shares of HBL Power, Elecon Engg Co, Zenith Birla, Empyrean Cashews Ltd. and Hindustan Motor, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 11:20AM(IST)on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index fell 78.65 points to 16505.65 amid selling in frontline bluechip stocks.

However, stocks such as Shekhawati Poly, Vertoz Advertising, Anupam Rasayan India Ltd., Precision Metaliks Ltd. and Future Retail, touched their fresh 52-week low.


Overall, 14 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 36 traded in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, ONGC, JSW Steel, HDFC Life, Bajaj Auto and NTPC were among top gainers, while Tech Mahindra, Bajaj Finserv, Shree Cements, BPCL and Hero MotoCorp traded in the red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 278.94 points down at 55490.29 at 11:20AM(IST).

Traders were seen piling up positions in Telecommunications, Sugar, Fertilisers, Gas & Petroleum and Metals - Ferrous sectors, while selling was visible in Engineering, Tourism & Hospitality, Agro Processing, Media & Entertainment and FMCG sectors.
