Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE

NEW DELHI: Shares of Megastar Foods, Silver Touch Tech, Kohinoor Foods, Zenith Birla and Kanani Inds, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 10:29AM(IST)on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 184.9 points to 16027.2 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.

However, stocks such as Sonu Infratech Ltd., Birla Tyres, Rainbow Childrens Medicare Ltd., Life Insurance Corporation of India and Innovative Tyres & T, touched their fresh 52-week low.


Overall, 39 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 10 traded in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Hindalco, JSW Steel, Tata Steel, Coal India Ltd and ONGC were among top gainers, while Cipla, HDFC Life, Asian Paints, UltraTech Cem. and Tata Consumer traded in the red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 598.1 points up at 53571.94 at 10:29AM(IST).

Traders were seen piling up positions in Metals - Non Ferrous, Telecommunications, Rubber, Metals - Ferrous and Learning & Education sectors, while selling was visible in Engineering, Tourism & Hospitality, Agro Processing, Media & Entertainment and Retail sectors.
