Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE

NEW DELHI: Shares of Blue Chip India, GSS Infotech, Avro India, Raj Rayon and Zenith Birla, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 11:05AM(IST)on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 137.2 points to 15919.35 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.

However, stocks such as Gayatri Highways, Aditya Birla Cap., Heranba Industries Ltd., Thyrocare Tech. and Pix Trans, touched their fresh 52-week low.


Overall, 34 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 16 traded in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Eicher Motors, SBI, Maruti Suzuki, Apollo Hospital and Tata Steel were among top gainers, while Shree Cements, UltraTech Cem., Power Grid, Dr. Reddys and Infosys traded in the red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 447.39 points up at 53241.01 at 11:05AM(IST).

Traders were seen piling up positions in Retail, Telecommunications, Miscellaneous, Infrastructure and Electric/Electronics sectors, while selling was visible in Engineering, Tourism & Hospitality, Agro Processing, Media & Entertainment and Building Materials sectors.
