Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE

NEW DELHI: Shares of Optiemus Infra, Swaraj Suiting Ltd., MRPL, Empyrean Cashews Ltd. and Chennai Petro, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 10:44AM(IST)on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 132.05 points to 17090.7 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.

However, stocks such as Akash Infra-Proj, INEOS Styrolution, OrissaBengalCarrier, Indiabulls Intgrtd and Karda Const, touched their fresh 52-week low.


Overall, 37 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 13 traded in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Eicher Motors, Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, RIL and Dr. Reddys were among top gainers, while Bajaj Finance, L&T, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank and SBI traded in the red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 419.69 points up at 56882.84 at 10:44AM(IST).

Traders were seen piling up positions in Telecommunications, Rubber, Auto, Industrial Equipment and Electric/Electronics sectors, while selling was visible in Tourism & Hospitality, Agro Processing, Construction, Infrastructure and Industrial Consumables sectors.
