Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE

NEW DELHI: Shares of GMR Power and Urban Infra Ltd., Ganesh Housing, Birla Cable, North Eastern and Royal Orchid, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 09:59AM(IST)on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 50.75 points to 17366.25 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.

However, stocks such as Akash Infra-Proj, Gateway Distriparks Ltd., SP Refractories Ltd., Dhani Ibull Ventures and P&G Health, touched their fresh 52-week low.


Overall, 33 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 17 traded in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Dr. Reddys, Divis Labs, Hindalco, SBI Life and ITC were among top gainers, while Bharti Airtel, Britannia, Coal India Ltd, Maruti Suzuki and Hero MotoCorp traded in the red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 156.56 points up at 58145.86 at 09:59AM(IST).

Traders were seen piling up positions in Telecommunications, Textiles, Defence, Logistics and Trading sectors, while selling was visible in Industrial Consumables, IT Enabled Services, Auto Ancillaries, Irrigation & Allied Services and Shipping sectors.
