NEW DELHI: Shares of Orient Bell, GRP Ltd, Fine Organic Ind., SEL Manufact and Genesys Intnl, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 11:10AM(IST)on NSE.
Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 478.55 points to 16726.5 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.
However, stocks such as Richa Info Systems Ltd., Crown Lifters, Nagreeka Capital, Dev Information Tech and AIA Engineering, touched their fresh 52-week low.
Overall, 48 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 2 traded in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Tata Motors, Adani Ports SEZ, Tata Steel, IndusInd Bank and Coal India Ltd were among top gainers, while Britannia, Nestle India, HUL, Eicher Motors and Dr. Reddys traded in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 1571.75 points up at 56101.66 at 11:10AM(IST).
Traders were seen piling up positions in Metals - Non Ferrous, Beverages - Alcoholic, Rubber, Defence and InvIT sectors, while selling was visible in Industrial Consumables, IT Enabled Services, Aquaculture, Irrigation & Allied Services and Electric/Electronics sectors.
