Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE

NEW DELHI: Shares of Refex Industries, NIIT, Pondy Oxides, IIFL Securities and Kitex Garments, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 11:20AM(IST)on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index fell 153.65 points to 25126.2 amid selling in frontline bluechip stocks.

However, stocks such as Globale Tessile, Mahalaxmi Fabric Mil, Interarch Building, Brainbees Solutions and Signpost India, touched their fresh 52-week low.


Overall, 9 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 41 traded in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Asian Paints, Grasim Inds., HUL, BPCL and Sun Pharma were among top gainers, while Wipro, Coal India Ltd, ONGC, Hindalco and LTIMindtree traded in the red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 422.38 points down at 82133.06 at 11:20AM(IST).

Traders were seen piling up positions in Beverages - Alcoholic, Tea / Coffee, Telecommunications, Defence and Building Materials sectors, while selling was visible in Irrigation & Allied Services, Infrastructure, Rubber, Gas & Petroleum and Electric/Electronics sectors.
