Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE

NEW DELHI: Shares of Godfrey Philips, Aarey Drugs, Pokarna Ltd, Vimta Labs and Genesys Intnl, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 10:39AM(IST)on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 48.66 points to 25101.0 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.

However, stocks such as Globale Tessile, Mahalaxmi Fabric Mil, Divgi Torqtransfer, Infomedia Press and 3rd Rock MultiMedia, touched their fresh 52-week low.


Overall, 30 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 20 traded in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, HCL Tech, Shriram Finance and Bajaj Auto were among top gainers, while Coal India Ltd, Hindalco, Dr. Reddys, Power Grid and Grasim Inds. traded in the red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 221.33 points up at 82006.89 at 10:39AM(IST).

Traders were seen piling up positions in Beverages - Alcoholic, Telecommunications, IT Enabled Services, NBFC and General sectors, while selling was visible in Irrigation & Allied Services, Infrastructure, Rubber, Gas & Petroleum and Electric/Electronics sectors.
