Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE

NEW DELHI: Shares of MTNL, Sonam Clock, Pondy Oxides, GSK Pharma and Power & Instrument, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 10:29AM(IST)on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index fell 64.21 points to 24445.05 amid selling in frontline bluechip stocks.

However, stocks such as Shrenik, Emcure Pharmaceutica, Palred Technologies, Filatex Fashions and MEP Infrastructure, touched their fresh 52-week low.


Overall, 16 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 34 traded in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, L&T, Tata Consumer, Eicher Motors, UltraTech Cem. and ITC were among top gainers, while Shriram Finance, ONGC, BPCL, SBI Life and Power Grid traded in the red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 144.64 points down at 80357.44 at 10:29AM(IST).

Traders were seen piling up positions in Fertilisers, Petrochemicals, Irrigation & Allied Services, Agriculture/Horticulture/Livestock and Rubber sectors, while selling was visible in Metals - Non Ferrous, Metals - Ferrous, Beverages - Alcoholic, Airlines and Gems and Jewellery sectors.
