Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE

NEW DELHI: Shares of Kothari Prod, Alok Industries, Madhav Copper, GTL Ltd and Chembond Chem, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 09:59AM(IST)on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 72.25 points to 21730.85 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.

However, stocks such as Raj Rayon, GIR Natureview, Infomedia Press and 3rd Rock MultiMedia, touched their fresh 52-week low.


Overall, 34 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 15 traded in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, SBI Life, Wipro, Adani Ports SEZ, Hero MotoCorp and LTIMindtree were among top gainers, while Nestle India, Sun Pharma, Britannia, Cipla and IndusInd Bank traded in the red.

The BSE Sensex was trading 265.82 points up at 72113.39 at 09:59AM(IST).

Traders were seen piling up positions in Telecommunications, Learning & Education, Textiles, Defence and Media & Entertainment sectors, while selling was visible in FMCG, Agro Processing, Logistics, Apparels and Construction sectors.
