Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Shiv Aum Steels, Kilitch Drug, Engineers India, Coastal Corp(PP)and Rail Vikas Nigam, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Wednesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 57.8 points down at 18089.85 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Party Cruisers Ltd., Parin Furniture, Jet Freight Logistic, Cineline India and Sheetal Cool, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 19 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 31 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, HUL, Asian Paints, Tata Motors, UltraTech Cem. and ITC were among top gainers during the day, while Adani Ent., ONGC, Adani Ports SEZ, UPL and Bharti Airtel ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 161.41 points down at 61193.3.

Traders piled up positions in Airlines, Term Lending Institutions, Aquaculture, Defence and Tyres sectors, while selling was witnessed in Tea / Coffee, Cables, Media & Entertainment, Agro Processing and Shipping sectors during the day.
