Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

Sonu Infratech Ltd., Pondy Oxides, Asian Hotels, Apar Industries and Som Distill, hit their fresh 52-week highs during the day.

NEW DELHI: Shares of Sonu Infratech Ltd., Pondy Oxides, Asian Hotels, Apar Industries and Som Distill, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Friday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 279.05 points up at 17359.75 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Future Enterprises, Antarctica Ltd, Techindia Nirman, Pritika Engineering Components Ltd. and Goenka Diamond, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 43 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 7 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, RIL, Nestle India, Infosys, ICICI Bank and Tata Motors were among top gainers during the day, while Apollo Hospital, Sun Pharma, Adani Ports SEZ, Asian Paints and Bajaj Finance ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 1031.43 points up at 58991.52.

Traders piled up positions in Airlines, Sugar, Defence, Diversified and Telecommunications sectors, while selling was witnessed in Infrastructure, Petrochemicals, Plastics, Media & Entertainment and Metals - Ferrous sectors during the day.
