Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Aarti Surfactants(PP), Manav Infra Projects, Triveni Turbine, Sonata Software and Foseco India, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Wednesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 146.95 points up at 17450.9 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Ameya Precision Engineers Ltd., Shanti Overseas(Ind, CLC Industries, Goenka Diamond and Indiabulls Enterprises Ltd., touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 43 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 7 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Adani Ent., Hindalco, UPL, SBI and Axis Bank were among top gainers during the day, while Britannia, Power Grid, Cipla, BPCL and SBI Life ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 448.96 points up at 59411.08.

Traders piled up positions in Defence, Metals - Non Ferrous, Rubber, Telecommunications and Cables sectors, while selling was witnessed in Infrastructure, Petrochemicals, Media & Entertainment, Airlines and Industrial Equipment sectors during the day.
