Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of BSL Ltd, Rossell India, Bikaji Foods International Ltd., Ponni Sugars and Archean Chemical Industries Ltd., hit their fresh 52-week highs during Thursday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 216.85 points up at 18484.1 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as JBF Industries, NBI Industrial, Swastik Pipe Ltd., Surani Steel Tubes and Jump Networks, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 43 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 7 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Apollo Hospital, HDFC Life, BPCL, Infosys and Tata Consumer were among top gainers during the day, while Cipla, Coal India Ltd, Kotak Bank, Tata Motors and Bajaj Finance ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 762.1 points up at 62272.68.

Traders piled up positions in Aquaculture, IT - Hardware, Telecommunications, IT Software and Sugar sectors, while selling was witnessed in Services, NBFC, Learning & Education, Glass and Miscellaneous sectors during the day.
