Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

Hindcon Chemicals, Pennar Ind, Rites, Zenith Exports and Liberty Shoes, hit their fresh 52-week highs during the day.

Retail and banking stocks rose 0.5 per cent and 0.7 per cent, respectively.
NEW DELHI: Shares of Hindcon Chemicals, Pennar Ind, Rites, Zenith Exports and Liberty Shoes, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Thursday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 109.25 points down at 17014.35 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as JBF Industries, Wipro, Technocraft Ind, Annapurna Swadisht Ltd. and Vaxtex Cotfab, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 16 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 34 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, HCL Tech, Sun Pharma, Coal India Ltd, Tata Motors and Britannia were among top gainers during the day, while Wipro, Adani Ports SEZ, SBI, SBI Life and L&T ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 390.58 points down at 57235.33.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Paper, Leather, Tea / Coffee and Hospitals & Allied Services sectors, while selling was witnessed in NBFC, Miscellaneous, IT Enabled Services, Term Lending Institutions and Agriculture/Horticulture/Livestock sectors during the day.
