Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Everest Ind, Apollo Sindoori, Murudeshwar Cera, Butterfly Gandhi and Venus Pipes & Tubes Ltd., hit their fresh 52-week highs during Thursday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 57.5 points up at 17331.8 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Pavna Industries Ltd., Silgo Retail, KCK Industries Ltd., Fino Payments Bank Ltd. and Kandarp Digi Smart BPO Ltd., touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 28 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 22 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, JSW Steel, Hindalco, Coal India Ltd, Tata Steel and L&T were among top gainers during the day, while Bharti Airtel, HUL, IndusInd Bank, HDFC and Britannia ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 156.63 points up at 58222.1.

Traders piled up positions in Metals - Non Ferrous, Mining, Defence, Cables and Sugar sectors, while selling was witnessed in NBFC, Miscellaneous, IT Enabled Services, Term Lending Institutions and Gas & Petroleum sectors during the day.
