Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of GPT Infraproj, Trans & Rectif, Insecticide Ind, RPG Life Sci and Lancer Container Lin, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Friday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 276.25 points up at 17094.35 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Kandarp Digi Smart BPO Ltd., Karda Const, Sabar Flex India Ltd., Vaxtex Cotfab and Cerebra Integrat, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 41 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 9 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Hindalco, Bharti Airtel, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finance and Kotak Bank were among top gainers during the day, while Asian Paints, Coal India Ltd, Dr. Reddys, Britannia and Adani Ent. ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 1016.96 points up at 57426.92.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Retail, Industrial Equipment, Learning & Education and Industrial Consumables sectors, while selling was witnessed in Defence, Metals - Ferrous, NBFC, Miscellaneous and IT Enabled Services sectors during the day.
