Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Liberty Shoes, Sreeleather, Jay Jalaram Technologies Ltd., Shivalik Bimetal and Sundaram Finance, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Wednesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 148.8 points down at 16858.6 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Jakharia Fabric, Morepen Labs, Atal Realtech, Sportking India and Dhanvarsha Finvest, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 18 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 32 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Asian Paints, Sun Pharma, Dr. Reddys, Eicher Motors and Power Grid were among top gainers during the day, while Hindalco, JSW Steel, ITC, Axis Bank and RIL ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 509.24 points down at 56598.28.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Glass, Building Materials, Industrial Equipment and Cables sectors, while selling was witnessed in Defence, Metals - Ferrous, NBFC, Miscellaneous and IT Enabled Services sectors during the day.
